Hubspot – Spotlight (Spring)

Spotlight

Spotlight is HubSpot’s bi-annual showcase for its biggest product launches and innovations. For Spring, we set out to turn a complex collection of announcements into one cohesive digital experience — helping customers quickly understand what’s new, why it matters and how HubSpot’s evolving products work together.

The Challenge

What are we solving

Spotlight brings together multiple products, features and stories, each with different stakeholders and priorities.

Our challenge was to make it feel like one connected experience rather than a collection of announcements — creating a clear narrative without overwhelming customers, while aligning Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing and senior leadership around a shared direction.

My Role

Leading from the front

I led the customer experience and design direction, working closely with designers and cross-functional partners from early exploration through delivery.

I stayed close to the work through design critique and product reviews, helped the team navigate ambiguity and connected decisions across the wider experience. I also worked directly with C-suite stakeholders to communicate the direction, resolve competing priorities and secure alignment on the customer experience and creative vision.

Understand

Finding the story within a complex set of products, priorities and customer needs to establish what the experience needed to communicate.

Shape

Creating a clear hierarchy and connected journey, turning multiple product announcements into one cohesive Spotlight experience.

Refine

Working iteratively across Design, Product, Engineering and Marketing to test ideas, resolve complexity and raise the quality of the final experience.

A unified Spotlight experience

Spotlight Spring brought HubSpot’s major product announcements together into one cohesive digital experience, aligning teams around a shared customer journey and creating a clearer way for customers to discover and understand what was new.
